Russia’s parliament on Friday declared Stalin responsible for ordering the Katyn massacre of Polish officers in Second World War, a crime Moscow spent decades blaming on the Nazis to the fury of Poland. The resolution came amid reports that President Dmitry Medvedev intended to launch a major new “deStalinization” drive that reminded Russians of the Soviet dictator’s crimes and declassified once-secret information. -Agence France-Press Moscow.

Second. A new Master of Public Policy degree program was unveiled at the University of Calgary on Thursday, aiming to address what’s expected to be a growing gap in highly skilled civil servants. The first-year class, which begins in September, 2011, will be limited to 35 students. Third. A high school student who became a quadriplegic after a rollover during a school outing to a golf course is suing for more than $18 million. In a Court of Queen’s Bench lawsuit filed on Friday, lawyers acting on behalf of Carissa Louise Irwin say the student of HJ Cody High School in Sylvan Lake suffered extensive injuries and financial hardships as a result of the crash on June 9, 2009.                                                                               -Calgary Herald.

  1. Скоро Новый Год. Я хочу предложить очень вкусный и быстрый рецепт Бисквитная картошка.
    Достаточно 30 минут и ваши пирожные будут готовы.
    Продукты: 300 гр. бисквитного печенья,1 стакан молока,0,5 стакана сахара,
    100гр. сливочного масла,1ст. ложка рома или вашего любимого ликёра,3ст.ложки
    какао-порошок,2ст.ложки сахарной пудры.Молоко нагреть вместе с сахаром и сливочным маслом пока всё полностью раствориться.Добавить измельчённое в крошку печенье и ром.Всё тщательно перемешать.Из полученной массы лепить шарики в виде картошки. Отдельно в посуде перемешать какао с сахарной пудрой
    и обвалять каждое пирожное. Выложить на тарелку и поставить в холодильник на несколько часов.
    Приятного аппетита и с праздником.

  2. Dear Izabella, Thank you very much for your recipe that you’ve sent to us. By the way, I know it quite well. I baked many times from this recipe back home in Russia. You are right, it is quick to prepare and delicious by taste. My husband Janko enjoyed the conversation with you this morning but he was impatient to start the painting job as he was in short of time to finish it and needed help. So he seems grouchy sometimes. But he is a very good heart and loves eclairs a lot. We hope to see you soon.
