Greetings. Thank you for another fine post. I combined the St.George ribbon with a commemorative «VE» day pin to make a nice emblem to honour the whole Allied effort, which I wore all week. This is a tradition I intend to maintain.
God bless you,
We hope to see you soon.
Hi, Rudy! It is wonderful that you commemorate this special day, May the 9-th of 2015, especially this year, when we come together to remember all those who sacrificed their lives to make the world a safer place. Unfortunately, these sacrifices today are forgotten by many people. Russia sacrificed over 20 million people, both civilian and military. This fact has been shunted around politically by different interests groups who are trying to diminish this truth.
The greatest and most touching part of the Moscow-St.Petersburg Victory Parades was to see thousands upon thousands of people of all ages carrying the photos of the family members who fought in that war. LEST WE FORGET! Memory of these brave people is eternal.
Sincerely yours,
Valentina and Janko
