It was our friend Anna Borash, who invited us once to the Travelodge Inn, SW Calgary on MacLeod Trail where one of the Comedy Clubs has its regular shows. Since that moment one year has already passed and we became frequenters. This time on Good Friday, the 24-th of April, we rushed to meet our friend Anna and enjoy an evening of comedy. It was well worth it. The comedian that night was Dennis Blair, one of the most talented and versatile comedians in show business. His act combines music, standup and topical observation, and can be tailored to the tastes of any audience he works with. As a result, he is equally at home in comedy clubs, corporate venues, cruise ships and concert halls. He has performed on The Tonight Show and HBO, has co-hosted the Stephanie Miller Radio Show with Elayne Boosler, and has entertained everywhere from Carnegie Hall in New York to the Universal Amphitheater in Los Angeles to the Kennedy Center in Washington DC. He has appeared regularly in Las Vegas, Atlantic City, Lake Tahoe, Reno and Laughlin with such major celebrities as Rodney Dangerfield, Joan Rivers, Jackie Mason, the Beach Boys, Gloria Estefan, Tom Jones and George Carlin (with whom he toured for over eighteen years in the U.S. and Canada). Dennis Blair started his show in an unusual way by holding the microphone as a cane, not for walking but talking. His jokes were so funny that one could not have enough of them… For example, about cell phones, flying in the airplane or shopping for the furniture etc. Watch: Dennis Blair about Cell Phones What is spectacular about his performance? By the way, his portrait is above and our photo together with him is to the right. Blair’s humor was not restricted to only reciting jokes, but included musical renditions of various musical artists: rock, pop, classical, western and everything in-between. The interaction with the audience was great. The listeners felt as they are part of his show. To spend good fun time at comedy club is really not wasted time. Just take your friends with you, come together and thoroughly enjoy every minute of evening. Watch:Dennis Blair about Rock Stars
