Once Charlie the Spirit Greeted Us at Bow Valley Ranch with Bucket of Canadian Roses…

When all the Spirits get together,                                                                                                                                                                 BowValleyRancheHouse

On October 31st of Halloween,

Charlie’s presiding at any weather,

Make sure that everyone’s happy to the ” T”.

So, after a splendid facial job having done by a cosmetologist, rejuvenated and being in a good mood, we headed to the nearby Fish Creek Provincial Park to visit the Ranch House located off Bow Bottom Facial maskTrail which was originally built 100 years ago by William Roper Hull close to the Bow River.

It was overcast and the weather could seem to impact our joyful line. No way. All of a sudden at that estate near the cookhouse which was previously a domain of the Chinese cook Charlie, now the legend says, who left for China, wanted to come back here with all his passion of the heart as he loved to work here. And never did.

They say, his friendly spirit is reigning everywhere around.

The tiny beam of sun went its way through the clouds as if showing to us the path to follow. We were amazed and took the right direction to the estate where we had never been before.

In twilight behind the white fence we saw an elegant maison setting in the peaceful environs with a tasteful landscape and lanterns that were lit up in a minute after our arrival as though some one gave them a command and they obeyed.

We walked around the house, met a wedding procession: the newly weds-a bridegroom was dressed in a Scottish style, a bride was as beautiful as a moon, their faces also were radiated with happy smiles.

Around the corner we found an old-fashioned wagon, a statue of natives “The Children of the Past” where we wantedimmediately to be taken pictures of us as the children of the present. Next to the sculpture a Tee-pee stood, just a frame without covering. Oh! We looked around. The place for building the estate was chosen with wisdom and respect for Mother nature.

The sky was obscure, and again the tiny beam of sun came out of the nowhere. N ow we decided that it is pre-destined.theranchhouse19 He follows us, he is the estate guide. Who is he? What is his name? We asked the staff from the Ranch Restaurant and they explained that it was Charlie the Spirit.

“O’kay!”, we said to ourselves,”Come on down, Charlie, and join us. We would like to celebrate with you our 12-years-anniversary of our meeting.”

This time a bucket of Canadian roses in a red vase appeared. Then a delicious meal. All contributed to our fine mood.

There was no special music at the dining room. We climbed upstairs to take a look at C harlie’s area: pictures on the walls, long dining table surrounded by the chairs. Everything turns out to look so casual, even the view from the upper window. Causal but interesting!

It was a wonderful visit of a modest fiest of social meeting when people appriciate every moment of this life.

By the way, one person bet on us 12 years ago:”Oh, their relationship would not last 12 days, then-12  months, then-12 years?!” You see that that person lost. And we won. Believe in better part of yourself. Await more victories against all odds.
