“Снегa пожиратель” – вот, какое значение слова “шинок” в пeреводе с индейского тихоокеанского, “шинок” ветер, который может в одно касание расплавить снег толщиной в фут (40 сантиметров), частично испаряясь в воздух.

В Канаде регион шинка в основном распространяется на город Калгари.

В первые дни своего пребывания в Пайнридж доме Глеб и Лиза, схватив камеры, выскочили из дома и сделали ряд снимков уникального явления и любезно предоставили их для публикации  на нашем сайте.

В тот прелестный шинок тёплый вечер бывалый Глеб берёт интервью у Лизы.

Глеб: Лиза, ты когда-либо в своей жизни видела шинок?

Лиза: Нет. Никогда.

Глеб: И какое впечатление у тебя об этом погодном явлении?

Лиза: Неописуемое. Красивое. Неповторимое. Это нужно самому видеть.

Глеб: Спасибо за интервью.

“Chinook” is a Pacific Indian word meaning “snow-eater” as a strong Chinook can make snow one foot deep almost vanish in one way. The snow partly melts and partly evaporates in the dry wind.

On the first days of stay at the Pineridge home Gleb and Liza jumped out of the house, taking their cameras with, trying  not to lose a spectacular Chinook moment outside.

Look at them! How they are capturing the moment of nature and all its beauty and wonder through the miracle of today’s technology, these visions are accessible to all who wish to see them.                                                  

They agreed kindly to allow to publish their shots. They were made as a slide show and you can enjoy them.

On that lovely Chinook evening Gleb, an experienced person, is taking an interview from Liza.

Gleb: Have you ever seen in your life Chinook, Liza?

Liza: Never.

Gleb: What is your impression about this weather phenomenon?

Liza: Awesome. Beautiful. Unique. One needs to see it to oneself.
