It was our friend Anna Borash, who invited us once to the Travelodge Inn, SW Calgary on MacLeod Trail where one of the Comedy Clubs has its regular shows. Since that moment one year has already passed and we became frequenters. This time on Good Friday, the 24-th of April, we rushed to meet our friend Anna and enjoy an evening of comedy. It was well worth it. The comedian that night was Dennis Blair, one of the most talented and versatile comedians in show business. His act combines music, standup and topical observation, and can be tailored to the tastes of any audience he works with. As a result, he is equally at home in comedy clubs, corporate venues, cruise ships and concert halls. He has performed on The Tonight Show and HBO, has co-hosted the Stephanie Miller Radio Show with Elayne Boosler, and has entertained everywhere from Carnegie Hall in New York to the Universal Amphitheater in Los Angeles to the Kennedy Center in Washington DC. He has appeared regularly in Las Vegas, Atlantic City, Lake Tahoe, Reno and Laughlin with such major celebrities as Rodney Dangerfield, Joan Rivers, Jackie Mason, the Beach Boys, Gloria Estefan, Tom Jones and George Carlin (with whom he toured for over eighteen years in the U.S. and Canada). Dennis Blair started his show in an unusual way by holding the microphone as a cane, not for walking but talking. The interaction with the audience was great. The listeners felt as they are part of his show. To spend good fun time at comedy club is really not wasted time. Вечер выдался отменный, мы не пожалели время, проведенной в кафе. Комедиантом в этот раз был Дение Блер, приехавший из Лас Вегаса, начавший своё выступление в очень необычной манере, держа стоячий микрофон как костыль для прогулки и манипулируя во все стороны. Его шутки были настолько смешными, что хотелось и хотелось слушать их…
Например, о мобильных телефонах, полётах в самолёте, покупках в мебельном магазине и т.д. и т. п.

Что же осбенного было в шоу Дениса Блера?
Показ юмористических ситуаций не ограничивался только артистическим исполнением актёра, а сопровождался также музыкалными сатирическими пародиями на современных исполнителей от рок, поп, классический до кантри стилей.И ещё его взаимодействие, контакт со зрителями, которые чувствовали себя вовлечёнными в спектакль и наслаждались им.
“Кого вы хотите, чтобы я изобразил”, весело спрашивал он.
“Элвис Пресли”, был ответ.
И Денис Блер старался во всю.
