First.Congratulations, Calgary! Newly elected mayor Naheed Nenshi , 38- year-old Mount Royal University business professor, won the elections on Monday the 18th, whose campaign team seems at times both at ease and surprised by its come-from-behind victory. Calgary has transcended itself and will now be seen as a city of difference, a city that elected a man of Muslim faith, a “visible minority” for the mayor’s chair, is a beacon of light within the greater social context that gives many mixed messages about equality and tolerance.

ChimpanzeeSecond. Mere hours after becoming Dave Bronconnier’s replacement, mayor-elect Naheed Nenshi signaled he will follow the outgoing mayor’s trademark building spree with two major transportation projects-Airport tunnel and South-East LRT line.
