CHAPTER 13. MY GRANDSON is MY INSPIRATION!
Student Lusine Arutyunyan on August 21, 2008 took an interview from me for CIBC Radio International. That is my poem in respose to it:
“MY GRANDSON is MY INSPIRATION,
on the Panet of Evil and SAD,
What is to be more sincere,
Than a Russian phrase:”You’ve said, you bet!”?
“You’ve said, you bet, and I showed up in Canada,
A beautiful country and a very detached.
As if in a fairy-tale unread,
Eleven years ago – as it were matched.
ELEVEN – is the exact age of my grandson,
The only one, of the Russian origin,
Having been born while my absence,
Not resembling me or any other pedigree…
“You’ve said, you bet!”, and here he is,
Arrived to Canada to visit with us,
MY SUNSHINE and JOY To MY EYES!
Into the city of BETWEEN LANDS.”
