One. On the Calgary University grounds is the Rozsa Center, created in 2002 in honor of the philanthropic efforts of Drs. Ted and Lola Rozsa. The Rozsa Award for Excellence in Arts Management is one of a kind. Nowadays are successfully launched Alberta Arts Days, with the Minister of Culture and Community Spirit, Lindsay Blackett, in attendance.
Two. Moscow. A Russian government commission found Anatoly Chubais, the former head of the national power monopoly, was among those responsible for the Siberian hydro power station accident that killed 75 people in August. He denied these accusations.
Three. Six Chestermere (near Calgary) residents are homeless after a raging fire tore through three houses yesterday, causing an estimated $ 1,8 million damage.
Four. The hockey team “Calgary Flames” won in the 4-3 score against the Edmonton team “Oilers”. Among the players’ names are a few Russian: Nikolai Khabibulin etc.
Five. “The Wizzard of Oz” ranks among the greatest films in Hollywood history, many of which were released in 1939. “The Wizzard of Oz” is newly restored in DVD and Blu-ray formats.
