One. Calgary Stampede 2014 is closing to-night. The peculiarity of Calgary Stampede this year can be considered horses who are regarded as as high-performance athletes. So, it follows that there is a lot of specialized support available for them behind the scenes – help that wasn’t always there before.
Treatments these days include massage, horse yoga, reiki and acupuncture, says Stampede spokesperson Bonni Clark.

Talking about the extremes of the weather here, in Calgary, it is mentioned in “Russia To-day” that on Saturday July 12, 2014 the residents of the cities of Chelyabinsk and Sverdlovsk, located in Russia’s easter Ural region, were taken aback when it suddenly started snowing in the middle of the summer. A downpour of giant hailstones was witnessed on the same day.
Five. A spectacular full moon, or “supermoon”, lit up the sky around the globe on Saturday looking bigger and brighter than usual, causing millions to crane their necks to see the phenomenon – the first of three such moons expected this summer.
